This vector illustration was originally done as a teeshirt design for the annual reunion I host for my 10 college roommates at a waterfront cottage in RI. I held a contest (with a free teeshirt prize) to create a haiku to go with the image. The winning entry reads: "Mermaids rise again ~ they surface once a year ~ but never leave our hearts". It seemed very appropriate for friends of over 30 years!
